This week, we were invited to a holiday concert from our friends at @montcrestschool! We had a fantastic time singing along with their beautiful choir. With instruments, learning about different holidays, and ending with some 1:1 time with our buddies, our Preschoolers had such a great time. They were looking forward to this trip and we are so grateful to all of our parent volunteers that helped make this happen.

One of our preschoolers celebrated their birthday with Pawsitively Pets! Experts from their team brought a selection of animals that our children got to interact with. We learned about each animal and their different traits and how to gently pet them. From fluffy rabbits to smooth snakes, we had a great variety! Thank you to the family for bringing in Pawsitively Pets to help celebrate your child's 3rd birthday. 🐇🤍

Today, our buddies came back to TSS for another visit! Together, our Preschoolers along with their Montcrest buddy created windmills. The older buddies helped our children assemble their windmills and decorate them to their liking. We also read "The Flying Hens and the Wise Windmills."

Welcome to our 2025 Two Short Storeys Art Exhibit! Every classroom went all out to cover all surfaces with the children's artwork. Using all the art they made over the course of many weeks, children were able to walk with their families through the beautiful displays and show off all their creations.

We love having our family engagement opportunities as a way to have meaningful interactions with children and their families and foster connections between families! The art exhibit is also a way to continue supporting a child's sense of identity and pride for what they've done at school. Through inviting families as well, children can bridge both their home and school lives!

Last week, it was our turn to visit our @montcrestschool buddies on their grounds! Having to take the TTC, it was a fun adventure from beginning to end. Our thoughtful buddies from Montcrest planned three interactive and exciting activities for us. Together, we...

🎵 sang some classic songs (including Baby Shark and Baa Baa Black Sheep), had a dance party along with Sally the horse, and explored a few musical instruments

🎨 engaged in a collaborative dotty art project where we drew the outlines of our hands and filled it up with colours of our choosing

and,

🛝 explored their beautiful outdoor playground that includes slides, a rock climbing wall, spider web, building materials, and more!

We had such an incredible time and are eagerly awaiting our next Montcrest visit next month!

We also want to mention that this trip wouldn't have been possible without the incredible parent and family volunteers that we had. Thank you, thank you!

Today is an important day for us as we acknowledge the significance Childcare Workers and Early Childhood Educators have in our world. We entrust these professionals with providing care and support for our youngest generation. The impact they have also goes beyond the classroom and as they create trusting relationships with the families they work alongside. While we show our appreciation throughout the year, we make today particularly special and treat our teachers with some deliciousness to celebrate themselves! With some fresh, tasty sushi and the classic pumpkin spice latte for all, we hope to add some extra joy in this day all about you! Happy ECE day!

Did you know we had the most EPIC way to wrap up the summer? 🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧 Children (and teachers) had an absolute blast with our foam party! The bubbles continued to come as we swam through and had fun piling it on ourselves to fashion some bubble hats. While some were cautious at first (understandably, it's a lot of bubbles), we had a hard time ending it with how much fun was had!
